Kinsey Hockey is more than just a team — it's a community built on friendship, passion, and a shared love for the game. Formed in honour of Darryl Kinsey, our team carries forward his spirit both on and off the ice. We are the driving force behind the annual Kinsey Cup, a tournament that brings players together each year to celebrate Darryl’s legacy through competition, camaraderie, and remembrance.
Beyond the Kinsey Cup, Kinsey Hockey stays active year-round, taking part in friendly fixtures and competitive tournaments across the UK. Whether we’re lacing up for a big game or just enjoying a friendly skate, our mission remains the same: to play hard, honour our friend, and grow the sport we all love. With a strong bond between players and a growing presence in the hockey community, Kinsey Hockey is proud to keep Darryl’s name alive every time we hit the ice.

Kinsey Hockey is always up for a game — whether it’s here in the UK or further afield! We’re a team built around passion for the sport and love to take part in friendly fixtures and private tournaments throughout the year. While we’re not currently registered with the EIHA, we’re open to joining non-sanctioned events and privately organised competitions. EIHA registration might be something we explore in the future, but for now our focus is firmly on one-off games and tournament play, as we don’t train or hold regular ice slots.
If you’re organising a tournament or looking for a fun, competitive team to play against, we’d love to hear from you. We’re happy to split ice costs 50/50, though please note we don’t have a home rink, so unfortunately we’re unable to offer return games at this time.
